Celestron Binoculars outland – Celestron Binoculars
Which binocular to get for star gazing beginners?
Zhumell 10x50mm, Nikon 7×50 action binocular, or Celestron Outland Lx 10×50?
Which one do you perfer 7×50 model or the 10×50 model binoculars? Or should I get one of each model?
Stick with the 10×50 or larger and a Tripod is a definate MUST if you use them for astronomy. Otherwise you wil be too shakey to enjoy your views. Even your pulse will make them shake.
I prefer Orion products personally.

They do have some excellent binoculars and tripods for astronomy.
I would also like to suggest that you join a local Astronomical Society or astronomy club in your area. You will meet a lot of really nice people who can help you to get the most out of your purchase and teach you where all the treasures in the sky are located and you can join them at star parties. Most clubs have loaner scopes and lend books and videos too plus they have great presentations at their monthly meetings. You won’t be sorry you joined a club.
Celestron Binoculars 10×50 – Celestron Binoculars
Are these 10×50 Binoculars good for first pair?
I have never used these before for Astronomy, but are these a good pair to get used to and start to learn?

These are the most inexpensive 10×50 binoculars I have ever seen, which immediately makes me ask how they did it. There are three obvious cost (and quality) cutting measures:
1. They use prisms made from BK-7 glass rather than the BAK-4 glass used in all modern quality binoculars. This has the effect of cutting down the light throughput of the instument, not a good thing for astronomy.
2. They are fully coated, but not fully multicoated. The difference between these two types of coatings again cuts down significantly on the light throughput, as you lose light on every glass-to-air surface in the instrument. Binoculars are complex instruments with many glass-to-air surfaces, typically a minimum of 10 in each half of the binocular.
3. Short eye relief (11 mm), which means old fashioned eyepiece design). This means that you have to cram your eyes into the eyepieces in order to see the full field of view.
Many of these inexpensive Chines binoculars are easily knocked out of collimation (optical alignment) which leads to eyestrain and headaches.
My advice is to spend a bit more and get a better qaulity binocular.

I want to buy 20*80 Celestron skymaster binoculars….?
Hello everyone, Let me begin by saying that i will buy a 7*50 s well for a better field of view. I dont want telescopes because they are expensive and complex to work with. thats why I want to buy a 20*80 binocular (weight is not an issue…it comes with a tripod).
My questions is are they (20*80) practical to find stars and celestial objects with?
Is it easy to find objcts with them or is it like is that it? did i find the right one?
and in the end any additional information that helps me do an informed purchase…
by the way Im geting a deal on a 7*35… how’s that one?
thanks everyone they e many knowledgable astronomers here …good luck to everyone!
